Advanced Quality Planning Engineer

• MOLEX, a brand under KOCH Industries with its headquarters in Wichita, Kansas (USA), is one of the world’s leading interconnector manufacturers.
• Since 2007, Molex Vietnam has operated its first factory in Thang Long I IP. We are now expanding with a new high‑tech facility in Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen, backed by a $145 million investment and spanning 100,000 m². This site will manufacture advanced products including high‑speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. APQP and Project Quality Management – Lead APQP activities for NPI, transfer, localization and major engineering change projects. Develop and maintain qualification plan, control plan, inspection standard, quality standard, safe launch plan. Participate in Design Review and Risk Review activities.
2. Qualification and Validation – Develop product and process qualification plans. Coordinate and approve FAI, Process Validation, Material Qualification, Tooling and Fixture Qualification.
3. PPAP and Customer Requirements – Coordinate customer PPAP submissions. Review customer specifications, drawings and quality requirements. Manage Product Change Notification (PCN) implementation.
4. Risk Management – Facilitate PFMEA reviews and risk assessments. Drive mitigation actions for identified risks. Ensure lessons learned are incorporated into future projects.
5. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement – Lead root cause analysis using 8D and other quality tools. Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Reduce defects, scrap, sorting costs, and quality‑related losses.
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, Sales, Project Management, and Customers.
7. Compliance Accountability – Be accountable for the compliance to rules, procedures and requirements in terms of:
   • 6S & KAIZEN
   • Environmental Health Safety
   • RBA & Social Responsibility
   • Protection of company assets
8. Other Duties – Perform other related duties as assigned by manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of APQP, MSA, FMEA, Control plan, SPC.
• 3 years of quality control/PE of new product.
• Able to read and apply engineering drawings, technical specifications and dimensional requirements.
• Able to select and use relevant inspection, measurement and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of problem‑solving and corrective‑action methods such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone and CAPA.
• Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends and prepare clear reports.
• Effective communication, coordination, training and follow‑up skills.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• English (4 skills).
