Air Logistics Intern - Operational Care (1 year)

As a member of the Freight Forwarding team Kuehne+Nagel, you will play a key role in transporting goods, optimising processes, and fulfilling our customers’ promises. By transporting medicines, toys and important machine parts, you are not only delivering goods—you are making small and big moments possible for people all around the world. You will be joining our Operational Care Team to add your expertise and skills to the delivery of Operational Excellence.
How you create impact
- Manage and perform all operational activities reliably, accurately and on‑time, minimizing overdue tasks and meeting defined customer deliverables.
- Follow the communication concept for effective communication with stakeholders.
- Monitor shipments, follow up on all deviations, and provide accurate and timely updates for visibility in KN systems, including financial data such as costs.
- Review and clarify CCL instructions if there are conflicts or deviations with regulatory requirements, routing, TT, rate information, or other discrepancies.
- Immediately report problems, operational disputes or discrepancies to supervisors or managers.
- Collaborate with all partners/suppliers, gateway, warehouse, customs teams, the RCC, and external parties as needed.
- Monitor operational performance of carriers and other partners and raise awareness if performance and commitments are not being delivered.
- Collaborate with the Optimization Team for the most effective process execution and systems setup/automation, maximizing systems utilisation and avoiding manual processes.
- Maximise profitability through cost optimisation.
- Be part of process improvement identification and implementing changes.
- Work with Sales and Customer Care teams on account implementation, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to operations.

- Last‑year student in International Business / Supply Chain / Logistics, who can take a full‑time internship for 12 months.
- Basic knowledge in International Freight Forwarding and import‑export process.
- Willing to learn, can‑do attitude, responsible, careful, customer‑oriented.
- Good at communication, problem solving, time and job management skills.
- Good command of English.
