About the Opportunity
Our client is a reputable European engineering consultancy. They are looking for a dedicated Structural BIM Engineer with a strong focus on structural modeling and rebar detailing to join their dynamic team in Ho Chi Minh City.
As a Structural BIM Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining high‑precision 3D BIM models for complex structural projects. You will work closely with cross‑border engineering teams in Europe and Vietnam to deliver structural solutions, detail rebar designs, and ensure strict compliance with European technical codes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Modeling & Structural Detailing (70%)
- 3D/2D Modeling: Build and maintain structural models (reinforced concrete, steel, precast) using Revit, Allplan, or Tekla.
- Design Coordination: Integrate structural models with multidisciplinary teams and resolve clash detection issues.
- Documentation: Generate accurate structural drawings, rebar detailing, and schedules adhering to European codes.
- BIM Standards: Manage models across full project lifecycles and support continuous BIM workflow improvements.
Quality Control & Workflow Optimization (30%)
- QA/QC Compliance: Perform quality checks on all deliverables and report non‑conformances immediately to the Team Leader.
- Project Administration: Maintain clear technical records, documentation, and accurate daily timesheets.
- Continuous Growth: Active participation in company training programs and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 3+ years of technical experience in BIM modeling and structural detailing for building/industrial projects.
- Highly proficient in at least one major BIM software: Revit, Allplan, or Tekla Structures. (Experience with Allplan is a strong advantage.)
- Strong understanding of structural design principles, concrete detailing, steel connections, and general construction methods.
- Good command of written and spoken English for daily communication with international design teams.
- Strong attention to detail, proactive problem‑solving attitude, high sense of accountability, and excellent teamwork capability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in European engineering consultancy projects or international outsourcing environments.
- Familiarity with Eurocode standards and Common Data Environment (CDE) platforms.
- Basic reading or communication skills in German is a plus.
