About the role
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer (Junior level, 1–2 years of experience) to join our Business Intelligence team in Ho Chi Minh City.
Reporting directly to the BI Platform Architect, you will play an essential role in supporting the quality, delivery, and continuous improvement of Titan's Business Intelligence and reporting solutions for our international dealership customers.
In this role, you will start by exploring and thoroughly testing our existing BI solutions and data workflows to ensure accuracy and uncover areas for improvement. You will also actively use modern AI tools to develop and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards requested by customers, while communicating directly in English with international customers to answer reporting questions and gather requirements within your assigned scope.

What you'll do
Solution Exploration, Quality Assurance & Data Validation
- Proactively explore and build a solid understanding of Titan's existing BI solutions, reporting systems, and underlying business data flows.
- Conduct thorough functional testing, data validation, and quality checks across BI solutions and reports after each development stage.
- Critically examine reports, calculations, and workflows with a keen eye for detail to spot software defects, data discrepancies, edge cases, or anything that appears illogical or inconsistent from a business or user perspective.
- Document findings clearly and work closely with the BI lead to verify fixes and continuously improve solution reliability and usability.
AI‑Assisted Power BI & Reporting Development
- Design, build, and maintain customer‑facing Power BI reports and dashboards based on agreed business requirements.
- Actively leverage modern AI tools to accelerate day‑to‑day reporting development, including writing and optimising SQL queries, crafting DAX measures, modelling data, and building clean visual layouts.
- Carefully review, test, and reconcile all AI‑generated queries, formulas, and report outputs against source data to ensure accuracy before delivery.
- Maintain and enhance existing Power BI reports as customer needs evolve.
Customer Communication & Requirements Gathering
- Communicate directly and professionally in English (both written and verbal) with international customers and internal stakeholders within the scope of assigned tasks.
- Investigate and respond to customer queries regarding their reports, metrics, and underlying data.
- Participate in customer discussions to gather, clarify, and document reporting requirements, translating business requests into clear technical tasks and report designs.
Continuous Learning & Team Collaboration
- Work closely alongside the BI lead, participating actively in mentorship sessions, reviews, and knowledge sharing to progressively take on greater technical responsibility.
- Document reporting logic, validation checklists, and operational workflows to keep team documentation clear and up to date.
Required Experience
- 1–2 years of professional experience after graduation in software development, information systems, data analysis, BI/reporting, or technical QA/BA.
- Solid foundational knowledge of relational databases and SQL (ability to read, write, and understand SQL queries to inspect and verify data).
- Practical capability and enthusiasm for using modern AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to assist with technical problem‑solving, query writing, data analysis, and report development.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills, with the confidence to communicate directly with international customers to answer questions and gather requirements within assigned work scope.
- Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and a meticulous approach to testing and verifying work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related discipline.
Preferred (Nice to Have — Training Provided)
- Prior hands‑on experience working with Data, Data Warehousing, ETL processes, or Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modelling, dashboard design) is highly welcomed.
- Basic familiarity with ERP, DMS, accounting, or business management systems is an advantage.
AI & Engineering Productivity
Titan is actively adopting AI‑assisted tools to improve engineering and delivery productivity. The successful candidate should be comfortable using AI tools for:
- Developing and refining Power BI reports, DAX formulas, and SQL queries.
- Investigating data discrepancies and generating data validation scripts.
- Designing test scenarios and identifying edge cases or logical gaps in BI solutions.
- Drafting clear customer responses, requirement summaries, and technical documentation.
- Accelerating day‑to‑day learning across new data models and business domains.
Candidates must be diligent in reviewing, testing, and validating AI‑generated output to ensure accuracy and reliability before delivering results to customers.
