Role Title: Design Intern (UX Specialty)

Program Type: Full‑time Internship → Conversion pathway to Fresher/Junior Designer
Your Mission
As a UX Design Intern, you'll partner with GoTymeX's design team to create user‑centered experiences for our banking applications across multiple markets (South Africa, Philippines, Vietnam). You'll work on real product features, learning how to translate user needs into intuitive, accessible digital experiences while maintaining design system consistency across our multi‑brand ecosystem.
You'll be mentored by senior designers, collaborate across product, engineering, and UX research teams, and own meaningful design contributions from research through developer handoff.
What You'll Do
- Create low‑fidelity and high‑fidelity wireframes, iterating based on feedback
- Apply GoTymeX Design System components and maintain visual consistency across products
- Master Figma, Variables, and Auto Layout for responsive, accessible design
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineering, and UX Research to align design direction
- Present design work in reviews, articulate decisions, and respond constructively to feedback
- Benchmark competitors and analyze existing features to identify best practices
- Prepare clear design documentation and handoff specifications for developers
- Learn GoTymeX's product lifecycle, banking domain knowledge, and design processes
- Master new design tools and frameworks while seeking mentorship proactively
- Share learnings through weekly reflections and contribute ideas to improve design workflows
Design Portfolio
- 1–3 personal or academic projects demonstrating design thinking and user research
Tools
- Any experience with Figma, Sketch, XD, or similar design tools
UX Knowledge
- Coursework or self‑study in UX fundamentals, user research, or interaction design
Banking/Fintech Interest
- Familiarity with banking products or interest in financial technology
Multi‑Market Perspective
- Experience designing for multiple regions or languages (a plus for our context)
Soft Skills
- Previous experience collaborating on teams (student projects, hackathons, etc.)
- Attention to detail
- High sense of quality and commitment
Work Environment
