Position Summary
The Junior Software Engineer supports the R&D Software Engineering Team by owning the foundational and maintenance work that falls outside specific customer projects. The role makes sure shared code is ready before projects start, cleans up and consolidates code after they finish, and keeps raising code quality through unit tests, linters, AI tooling and code review. The position exists so that senior engineers can focus on core development, while the Akselos platform stays reliable, maintainable and ready for upcoming projects.
Responsibilities
- Software development and maintenance: Design, implement and maintain features, fixes and improvements across the Akselos software platform, with a focus on shared code that many products and projects depend on.
- Software quality, testing and development tooling: Continuously improve the automated safeguards that keep the codebase correct, consistent and maintainable.
- Code review and collaboration: Take an active part in the team's code review process and help colleagues get high‑quality changes merged smoothly.
