Project summary

Project Coordinator – Components 1 and 4 on Food Safety and Project Management for the USDA Food for Progress Trade in Agriculture and Food Safety Expanded (TAFSE) project in Vietnam.

Responsibilities

Support effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and communication of Project activities, focusing on Component 1 (Strengthen Food Safety and SPS Capacities) and Component 4 (Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Communications, and Events).
Provide operational input on project management, M&E, communications, and events.
Coordinate, implement, monitor, and follow‑up activities under the components, aligning with annual work plans.
Develop annual work plans in line with GVN requirements and project design.
Monitor progress and quality of activities, identify issues and risks, and support timely resolution.
Facilitate coordination among PMU, IESC Project Office, project components, government counterparts, and stakeholders.
Foster communication and collaboration between IESC Project Office and PMU, especially with public‑sector counterparts.
Consolidate and update implementation progress against approved work plans.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad‑hoc reports for PMU, including supply chain, cold chain logistics, and trade finance information.
Coordinate with MEL Lead to collect, verify, and provide data for indicators and reporting.
Maintain accurate records of activity implementation, outputs, results, and documentation.
Coordinate development and maintenance of the Project results and outputs library.
Ensure project results and evidence are documented and accessible for management, monitoring, reporting, and learning.
Support use of documented results in reports, presentations, and communications.
Assist PMU in scheduling and preparing for bi‑annual PMU meetings and regular meetings with IESC Project Office.
Participate in and facilitate meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, action points, and follow‑up.
Coordinate arrangements for events, workshops, training activities, and other project activities related to Components 1 and 4.
Support implementation and supervision of assigned activities and sub‑activities.
Monitor timeliness, quality, and completeness of deliverables; provide updates and recommendations.
Identify challenges and emerging issues; support development and implementation of corrective actions.
Provide additional coordination, reporting, and operational support as required.
Perform any other duties assigned by the PMU Director.

Qualifications

Vietnamese national.
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Economics, Business, Agriculture, food safety, SPS, or closely related fields.
Minimum 7 years of work experience related to economic governance.
Minimum 7 years of work experience with/for Government agencies (ministries or ministries’ departments).
Experience with ODA project management.
Experience in coordinating or facilitating multi‑government agency relationships; prior experience with USG projects preferred.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Strong diplomatic, clear communication, follow‑up, and multitasking skills.
Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and organizational skills.
Maturity, professionalism, positive attitude, and self‑motivation.
