Road Customs Declaration Supervisor

• Manage, coordinate, and supervise all customs declaration and clearance activities for goods imported and exported via road transportation.
• Manage and assign tasks to the customs declaration team, ensuring that customs declarations are processed on schedule and in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review, approve, and take responsibility for the accuracy of customs declarations, dossiers, and supporting documents before proceeding with customs clearance.
• Liaise with and maintain strong working relationships with customs authorities at border checkpoints, handling and resolving issues arising during the customs clearance process.
• Monitor the status of customs declarations, review customs clearance channel classifications, and direct the handling of Yellow Channel and Red Channel declarations, physical cargo inspections, and declaration amendments or supplementary submissions.
• Oversee import and export procedures for goods transported through Vietnam–China land border checkpoints, ensuring compliance with applicable customs laws and regulations.
• Develop and standardize customs declaration procedures, documentation control processes, and customs clearance workflows to improve processing efficiency.
• Coordinate with transportation, warehouse, logistics coordination teams, customers, and drivers to ensure that goods, vehicles, and documentation are processed according to schedule.
• Stay updated on changes in customs policies, regulations, and procedures, and provide guidance to the team to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and consolidate reports on customs declaration activities, clearance progress, arising issues, and processing performance for management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Import–Export Management, Logistics, Economics, Customs, or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in customs declaration and import–export operations.
• Practical experience in customs declaration and clearance for goods transported by road, particularly along the Vietnam–China cross-border routes.
• Strong knowledge of customs procedures, processes, and applicable laws and regulations governing import and export activities.
• Proficiency in customs declaration procedures and relevant systems and software, including VNACCS and ECUS.
• Strong problem‑solving skills in handling issues related to customs declarations, documentation, physical cargo inspections, and customs clearance at border checkpoints.
• Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with customs authorities, customers, transportation providers, drivers, and relevant departments.
• Strong work management and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Responsible, detail‑oriented, proactive, and committed to regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
