Sea Pricing Team Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Manage, update, and control rate sheets on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of quotations, surcharges, DEM/DET conditions, and timely responses in line with KPIs.
• Work closely with Sales to develop pricing solutions for key accounts, tenders/RFQs; analyze competitors and recommend appropriate pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with Procurement to negotiate rates, space allocation, and contracts with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and co-loaders.
• Work with overseas agents to obtain door-to-door rates and destination local charges, particularly for the US, EU, Intra-Asia, and China trade lanes.
• Monitor and analyze freight market trends and recommend appropriate buying and selling strategies.
• Lead, assign tasks, train, and evaluate the Pricing team; develop and standardize SOPs and KPIs.
• Coordinate with Operations and Accounting/Finance to ensure quotation feasibility, control actual costs, and maintain healthy profit margins.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
• 4–5 years of experience in Pricing/Procurement within a relevant industry, including at least 1–2 years in a Team Leader or equivalent position.
• Strong knowledge of pricing structures, surcharges, and relevant procedures.
• Good network with industry partners, particularly in the Northern Vietnam market, is a strong advantage.
• Experience in related business operations or specialized projects is preferred.
• Good command of English, both written and verbal, for daily communication with overseas agents and partners.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, dashboards); experience with CRM or pricing management systems is an advantage.
• Strong skills in negotiation, data analysis, problem‑solving and decision‑making.
• Good leadership, coaching and time‑management skills; able to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proactive, market‑sensitive, detail‑oriented and highly responsible, with strong integrity in cost and margin control.
