DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Yield Improvement
- Lead failure analysis on module test/cosmetic failures, including fails from production, qual, DMR units from module returns and RMA field returns. Root causes identified root, issue solved and corrective action implemented.
- Generate weekly yield report of module production test, failure modes analysis, coordinate supporting divisions reach yield target.
- Coordinate OSA team to make design optimization well validated, qualified and executed smoothly for product yield/reliability improvement and cost down (2nd source, low cost design.)
- Lead test correlation among module test, OSA test, in-process OSA data, optimize in-process specs for overall yield improvement.
2. Scrap/cost Reduction
- Improve First pass yield to reduce scrap, analyze module level Scrap, coordinate improvement actions to reduce module scrap.
- Create debug tree. Debug MVT failed samples to identify design, assembly or test related issues. Feedback design/assembly/test related issues and resolving with respective teams.
- Generate disposition guidance for module test failures by failure mode. Establish internal /cross site return rules w/ counter party w/ minimized rework cost.
3. Product On time Delivery
- Work closely with product engineers to collect yield data supporting HPU reduction from optimizations of test corners, test time, tuning algorithms…
- Support module testers setup/debug/maintenance to ensure planned capacity for product on-time delivery.
