Job Summary
Lead engineering teams building AI‑powered data connectivity solutions on CData Connect AI. Combine people leadership, technical judgment, and execution to deliver high‑quality software quickly and effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Lead and develop engineering teams, provide coaching, feedback, and performance management. Hire, onboard, retain, and develop talent. Partner on team structure, capacity planning, and workforce needs.
- Execution and Delivery: Own delivery across teams, manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and commitments. Improve operating practices, maintain team rhythms, resolve cross‑team dependencies, and use metrics to inform decisions.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical judgment, align decisions with architecture and quality standards, and maintain hands‑on engagement. Drive improvements in practices, tooling, and architecture.
- Operational Ownership: Ensure sustainable on‑call practices, SLOs, error budgets, incident response, and post‑mortems. Improve reliability across teams.
- Discovery & AI‑Assisted Development: Partner with Product and stakeholders to clarify problems, champion AI‑assisted workflows, and increase developer productivity.
Qualifications
- 8+ years software engineering experience, 4+ years engineering management.
- Proven ownership of team execution, delivery, and operational responsibilities.
- Strong technical judgment, communication, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred), Java/Kotlin, microservices, Kubernetes, and AI‑assisted development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
