Job Description
Join a fast‑growing, multi‑BU group where priorities shift quickly and the finance function is scaling with the business. You will be expected to learn fast, take ownership early, and adapt your methods as the company evolves.
Responsibilities
- Own the relationship with budget owners. Prepare their monthly KPI packs, challenge assumptions and the status quo, and deliver sharp, forward‑looking commentary that goes beyond the numbers and drives decisions.
- Run variance analysis by BU and department. Identify the real drivers, work through results with budget owners, and turn findings into clear actions on a tight monthly close timeline.
- Partner with Accounting and HR to ensure accurate expense classification and data integrity, resolving issues quickly as the organization and its cost structure change.
- Deliver strategic insights to senior management and Group Finance. Translate complex data into concise recommendations, contribute to the monthly management reporting, and lead key parts of the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle.
- Continuously improve reporting. Streamline policies, processes and KPI dashboards (Tableau, group BI tool), and drive automation to reduce manual work and scale reporting as the business grows.
- Monitor key financial metrics early. Flag risks and opportunities before they surface in the results, and take on ad‑hoc analyses and cross‑functional projects, often at short notice.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Controlling, FP&A, Finance, or Accounting roles, ideally in a multi‑BU or fast‑scaling environment.
- Strong technical proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and Oracle or comparable Accounting ERP systems.
- Experience with Tableau or other business intelligence tools is highly desirable.
- Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to challenge senior stakeholders constructively and to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Proficient in English (writing and verbal communication).
Additional Information
What success looks like:
- Ramping up quickly on a new business, its data model and its stakeholders.
- Agility and adaptability to each situation, changing priorities and evolving processes.
- A proactive, “fix it and improve it” mindset rather than waiting for instructions.
- The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
- Department: Finance
- Workplace Type: Onsite
- City: Dhaka
