About the role
Software Engineer is a role which involves participating in the full software development lifecycle for each project or product you are assigned. Reporting to the Manager, the Software Engineer must ensure a smooth efficient service that meets the expectations and needs of our customers and continues to grow & develop our staff.
Responsibilities
- Apply best software engineering solutions to ensure product quality and build an optimal software environment.
- Monitor, analyze and improve the current development process, and help determine appropriate improvement strategies.
- Liaise and interact with team members to ensure continuous progress.
- Communicate with all customers and stakeholders to provide the highest quality service.
- Actively participate as a member of the MiTek Vietnam Software Center, united in pursuit of operational excellence.
- Support daily team activities.
- Design, code, test, and debug software using required technologies, tools, and languages.
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, Architecture, and other functional teams to ensure efficient, consistent solutions that meet business needs.
- Work in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban), participating in commitment, retrospective, and planning meetings.
- Attend regular work hours and overtime as required.
- Participate in requirements reviews.
- Refactor existing software.
- Apply generally accepted development and quality assurance standards to ensure efficient program logic and data manipulation.
- Participate in design and design reviews.
- Independently design quality solutions for small to medium features.
- Continue to grow the MiTek Vietnam family by supporting customers and ensuring the highest level of service.
Qualifications
- University or College degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in software or related industry with basic knowledge of global development practices.
- English level B1+ or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge and experience in software development using design patterns, OOP, C#, .NET Framework, SQL Database, C, C++, and other required tools and languages.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or equivalent IDE.
- Ability to provide clear purpose and direction for sprint tasks.
- Understand and communicate measurable performance objectives.
- Communicate clearly and succinctly.
- Support team members through on‑job training.
- Resolve problems and conflicts positively.
