Mô tả công việc

We’re creating competitive advantages and driving unit economics for 50,000 restaurants around the world, making it easier for customers to order the chicken, pizza, tacos and burgers they crave in more than 150 countries and territories. Yum! Brands’ global technology strategy, in partnership with the KFC, Taco Bell and The Habitat Burger divisions, is focused on providing a best-in-class digital journey across mobile, online, delivery and restaurant operations.
The company started the journey when YUM! DIGITAL & TECHNOLOGY was incorporated in January 2021. We operate as a growing software start‑up within Yum! putting engineering first. We’re as passionate about the quality of our code as the impact of our work and focus on three main products: digital commerce platform‑as‑a‑service, in‑restaurant point‑of‑sale and a proprietary menu management system that defines what we sell and at what price. These tools are designed to drive sales, improve unit profitability, and provide lasting competitive advantages for our brands.
We love open source, volunteering in our communities and collaborating heavily with all other technologists within other Yum! divisions and countries. Join our team, and you’ll never feel like you work in a silo, but instead, what you do will impact the world’s largest restaurant company!
We’re building the largest restaurant digital commerce engine in the world. At a time when omnichannel sales are ramping up in every market, we’re meeting the need by accelerating product delivery and ensuring flexibility across menu, tax and POS systems through Android‑based technology.

Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role
The Manual Quality Engineer will design and drive testing activities following the test strategy of the platform to ensure the reliability, performance, and functional integrity of the Byte by Yum! Commerce Platform, supporting KFC and Taco Bell digital ordering journeys (web and native). The role contributes to test coverage for shared, platform‑agnostic business logic as well as brand‑specific web/native applications, balancing reusable core test frameworks with market/brand‑specific validation needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Test marketing campaigns for Taco Bell UK across web, mobile app, and in‑store kiosk channels, using manual and exploratory testing on our e‑commerce platform (~60% of time).
  • Remotely access and test kiosk applications using tools such as TeamViewer, following client security and access procedures.
  • Act as the main QA contact for our UK‑based client stakeholders, owning campaign testing and reporting quality directly to the client.
  • Join occasional evening online calls (Vietnam time) with the UK client to present quality updates, review test results, and confirm release readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to test builds at the end of each sprint and before production releases.
  • Oversee test planning, execution, and reporting, tracking quality metrics such as defect escape rate and test coverage to ensure release confidence and platform reliability.
  • Grow your skills in test automation by identifying repetitive test scenarios, such as regression checks, that can be automated over time.
  • Lead the defect management process, ensuring issues are prioritized, tracked, and resolved.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and experienced working with oversee clients.

  • Proven experience in collaboration with oversee stake holders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and DevOps teams.
  • Strong communication, and problem‑solving skills in fast‑paced, agile environments and a passion for delivering high‑quality software.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed global teams.
  • Strong written English communication skills, with at least basic conversational spoken English.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change: able to adjust testing priorities, tools, and approach quickly as product direction, requirements, or tech stack evolve.

  • Basic knowledge of test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium).
